After growing up being able to read people's thoughts, Jun has purposefully distanced himself from others. He doesn't like knowing them, because, well, usually they're bad. Even if he knows not everyone is evil and horrible, knowing that everyone does have cruel desires, no matter how fleeting, makes him wary. In the end it's easier to hang out with his pet birds.
